Believe What God Says About You

Romans 4:17
'...God...calls those things which do not exist as though they did.'

When God spoke to Abraham and told him that he was going to be the father of many nations, he was without a natural child and his wife was way past the age of child bearing. When God made this promise to Abraham He was also declaring something about him; He was calling that which did not exist with Abraham as though it did exist.

If you've read Abraham's story, you know that he did indeed become the father of many nations. It took a long time for this happen, but happen it did! First came Isaac, then Jacob (Israel), and finally the gentile nations in Christ. Abraham literally became what God had spoken to him.

Dear reader, God has spoken to you too; He has spoken to you through His word. The question is: 'Do you believe what He has said about you?' It's time to stop listening to those who say you'll amount to nothing; it's time to stop believing those who say you can't do it; you'll never make it.

You may have had a failed marriage, a rotten childhood, or perhaps a bad career, but it's time to put these things behind you. How?...'Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,' Philippians 3:13

God not only has said wonderful things about you, but it is He who speaks into existence His specific will for your life. 'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope,' Jeremiah 29:11.

You might not feel like it and you might not look like it right now, but you are whatever God says  you are! It might even take years to become what God has declared about you, but you will get there because Jesus is the author and finisher of your faith, and He will complete the good work He started in you. Hebrews 12:2, Philippians 1:6.

Our responsibility is to line our will up with God's will. When we do this He will empower us to do what normally would be humanly impossible to do, praise God! Will you experience obstacles, delays, and disappointments along the way? Yes, but ultimately God will get you to where you're supposed to be.

Our job is to live by faith because it's a done deal as far as God is concerned. When He decrees something about us that should settle it, every other voice we must silenced. Dear reader, stay close to God, stay in His word, and He'll speak to you and call those things which do not yet exist in your life as though they did!

Have a blessed day
Paul
