God Will Help You To Succeed

Luke 5:9
'...All...were astonished at the catch of fish...'

One day while Jesus was preaching by the lake of Gennesaret, He requested the use of Simon's boat. After He had finished teaching the multitudes He told Simon to put our the nets for a catch. Simon objected at first but then said, "...nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net,” Luke 5:5. The result? They caught so much fish that two of the boats began to sink!

Here's eight life changing truths we can learn from this story:

1) When Jesus is in your boat you're going to succeed in whatever He tells you to do.

2) Jesus will come to your place of work to help you.

3) Do whatever He tells you to do, even if it does not make sense at the time.

4) He will show you a better way, if what you're doing is not working.

5) Your existing systems may not be able to handle His plan, so be prepared to change how you do things.

6) The success He has planned for you is greater than anything you can envision for yourself.

7) When you experience God's goodness, you'll fall down at His feet and worship Him.

8) When you get a revelation of what He has in mind for you, you'll leave everything that hinders and follow Him no matter what.

The fishermen, that day at the lake of Gennesaret, had a powerful encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ that would prove to change their lives forever. Jesus said to Simon that day, "...Do not be afraid, from now on you will catch men," Luke 5:10.

True to His word, Jesus did teach Simon to catch men. The book acts records, ...'Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them,' Acts 2:41.

Just like Simon caught a huge catch of fish at the lake of Gennesaret, he caught a huge catch of souls upon preaching his first gospel message; now that's success! Dear reader, God has success planned for you, and He's working it all out, are you ready?

Have a blessed day
Paul
