' We know that all things work together for good...'
When God reveals His plan for your life it's life changing to say the least. A believer who has God's plan established in their heart is not easily persuaded to drop it the first time adverse circumstances come their way.
They'll not be quick to get discouraged when situations bring conflict and disorder; they'll not become frustrated or overwhelmed when they don't seem to get their prayers answered right away. Why is this? Well, when you know deep down in your spirit that you are in God's will, nothing can shake you from your call.
So what are you to do when testing times come? Okay, I'm assuming that you know the call of God on your life and you've started to move in its direction; even if you don't know your call yet, listen up because this will hep you too.
Paul writes, 'And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose,' Romans 8:28. Notice this text doesn't say 'some' things, but 'all' things work together for good; it's really important that you understand this.
Peter writes, 'In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ.' ! Peter 1:6-7
If you're going through a trial right now and you know that it's not because of disobedience, you can safely assume that it has been allowed by God for training purposes. Through this trial God is equipping you to handle a greater measure of authority in ministry; He's building a solid foundation under you, so hold on!
Out of the pressure, brought on by your trial, God will release power into your life to do what He desires for you, not what others may want for you. He's teaching you valuable spiritual lessons that will empower you to handle, uncooperative, resentful, and jealous people.
Yes it is unfortunate that we have to encounter such people, but while we live this side of eternity this can not be avoided. Remember God is working all things for your good, and this includes building your character.
So what do you do when confronted with a trial? Humble yourself before God and ask Him about it. The bible says, ' Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things...' Jeremiah 33:3. Don't be afraid to ask God, but be ready to except His answer with a good attitude. He may say, 'it's because of your disobedience.' If this is the case, be quick to repent; God loves you and will forgive and restore you.
He may say, 'it's for a purpose.' If this is the case, remain humble and trust God to work it all out for you. When He is done you can be assured, through is Word, that He will deliver you from your trial. 'Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.' Psalm 34:19
